The term Nano is occupying a remarkable place in modern technology. But, I believe many of us are wondering what Nano can really do for us. The aim of this blog is to give an overview about the nanotechnology to students, academic heads aiming to start nanotechnology course in their institutes, and industrialists willing to know the potentiality of nanotechnology to influence their industry. Please note that I am still updating the content of all the pages.

SETi Launches High Power 275nm SMD LED
The background for technology and the applications related to the deep-UV LEDs can be found in a report by Yole consultants: http://www.compoundsemiconductor.net/article/90610-uv-leds-will-substrates-slow-growth.html
SETi now announces that they can supply 275 nm LED. SETi has unveiled deeper AlN-on sapphire UV LEDs grown via migration enhanced MOCVD and migration enhanced lateral epitaxial overgrowth. The performance of the LED and more details can be found in the following webpage.

Transparent and conducting electrodes
Due to the high cost, limited resources, and brittle nature of Indium Tin Oxide (ITO), there has been ongoing hunt for new materials.
Few successful candidates are Silver nanowires, and Graphene.
Though Graphene technology is being developed rapidly, it is not being used in the industry yet. While there are several companies dealing with such materials.
Few of them are listed below:
USA:
Cambridge
Europe:
Finland:
